September heralds that bizarre weather in Adelaide that sees you in full thermals one minute and bare legs the next. Well, when I say "bare legs", I mean nude stockings because I like to hold out on the first leg wax of the season until I'm convinced we're going to get at least a week's worth of warm weather to make it worthwhile, same with my pedicure.
That fascinating insight into my personal grooming habits aside, here's what was added to cart this month.
First off, Miss L and I took ourselves off to the Royal Adelaide Show, where I went and visited Jacquie at her Blush & Co stand in the Jubilee Pavilion and picked up this cute tassel earrings for $20. As I said on Insta, I like them because they are jazzy yet still sedate enough for daytime.
Keeping with the cute earring theme, I was lucky enough to win these two sets of studs from Grace & Luxx which I was jolly pleased about.
My friend Ali from Philosophy came to town and I got to hang out with her, see the A/W 18 collection (spoiler alert: CUTE) and she very kindly gave me this white fringe top from the current range, which - as I enthused earlier - IS OPAQUE. *praise hands*
The next two items I haven't worn yet but I'm planning to soon at an upcoming event. I did get them both for 20% off though at The Iconic. Stay tuned for that.
Back in March, I got a great Nero collar shirt from Katies* in Antique Rose that I really enjoy wearing, so when I saw the same style in navy blue* AND there was 30% off for members, resulting in picking it up for $27, well, what else was I supposed to do?
I hadn't been to Savers in absolute ever, but I had the opportunity on a recent day off to donate a few big bags and avail myself of a browse. Nothing spoke to me in the clothing section and then I alighted on these Django & Juliette patent brogues for a mere $16.99. A quick browse of Styletread leads me to believe these would have been worth around $150 new, so I'm pretty pleased with that pick-up. Excuse the wack screencap, I don't know what's going on.
On that same day, if you follow me on Facebook, you would have seen I spent a glorious 5.5 hours at my local shopping centre, doing whatever and looking at whatever I wanted and it was GREAT. Another thing I snared was this Khoko dress from Harris Scarfe - again on sale for about $27.
I got a grey tee with a star print for $5 and a couple of waisted tee shirt dresses from Kmart for $10 each that I haven't worn yet. I spent most of last summer in Kmart dresses and I see no reason for this summer to be any different, since I don't really do shorts these days.
I also picked up a ridiculous glitter clutch for absolutely no reason except that it was too pretty to leave behind and at $7, why would you. This pic in no way does justice to its full green / copper duochrome awesomeness so you probably need to go instore for a look. As if you're not already going to Kmart.
Not to mention this ridiculous bargain:
I had seen this pair of cage booties in Rubi* and decided one lunchtime to go and try them on at Cotton On. They had ONE PAIR left in store, and as I reached for them - seeing they were marked down to $20 - thinking they would SURELY be the wrong size . . . well, let's just say it was a good day to be a size 38. No pic yet because as I mentioned, pedicure is very much needed.
Another lunchtime expedition (again) saw me in Kmart (again) where I picked up a chambray shift dress marked down to $15, a striped tunic tee because god knows, I don't have enough striped shirts already for $9, another necklace and earring set marked down in a kind of dove grey colour . . .
And this pair of jazzy earrings which I was happy to pay full price for because that full price was $4. FOUR WHOLE AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS.
Do stay tuned to Insta for updates on the things I haven't yet photographed.
A bit of a blow-out this month but I think it was an end-of-season thing where I was thoroughly bored of everything I owned and needed a bit of an injection. I did take three large bags down to Savers to make room with some good stuff including Review, Forever New, Atmos & Here and Dorothy Perkins, so get to the TTP store if you're keen.
