As you may know, I'm a relatively recent, albeit enthusiastic, newcomer to LUSH Cosmetics and all their LUSHy glory. Thanks to scoring an invite to a couple of fun events, I've had the opportunity to try out some really cool products and for that, I am most grateful.

LUSH have just dropped their limited edition Valentine's Day range, #lushloves, available in store and online for all your V Day requirements, including gifting and personal bath-based activities.

Now I get February 14 means different things to different people and while my husband and I barely acknowledge the date beyond "Oh, it's Valentine's Day". "Oh, right. Huh", there's no reason why you can't go all out and treat yourself with some fun limited edition goods, is there? Who needs a reason. Or a partner. All you need is access to a clean water supply to enjoy these products. And by clean water supply I am not suggesting you go and lather up in the creek but knowing LUSH and their commitment to environmental friendliness, it probably wouldn't be an eco disaster. Let's not take the risk, though.

Right, now that we've established a framework for terms of use, let's look at the prods! I was kindly sent a press box by LUSH to show you what's up.

I know. Are you not dying of the cute right now?

First, can we talk about the Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar . . . quite popular with the pre-school market from what I understand.


Not only is it beautiful to look at, but it has relaxing lavender oil and neroli. What is neroli? Good question. It's made from the oil of the bitter orange tree and increases serotonin levels in the brain . . . all completely legally. Yay!


What is that delicious looking wedge next to the horn? Why, it's the Love You, Love You Lots soap. Made from four, count 'em, four different types of rose product, this chunk-a-chunka burning love soothes, conditions and protects.


You simply can't go past LUSH's famous bath bombs and these two are definitely the capital M in Wingdings. On the left is the "Over and Over", a cocoa butter coated lime and fennel oil bomb diggity and on the right is "Lover Lamp", a heart-stamped explosive device of vanilla, orange oil and cocoa butter.

Normally I reserve this emotion for commenting on pictures of cute clothes / shoes / bags on Instagram, however the Lovestruck bubble bar also gets my emoji tick of approval. Lemon and geranium oils uplift as well as cleanse.


Pucker up, buttercup! The Kiss lip gloss smells like lollies and the pink tint is just as sweet. Made with shea butter, Kalahari melon organic oils and agave syrup, this will make your smackers sing.

These and the rest of the Valentine's Day 2017 limited edition collection are available in LUSH stores until February 14, so don't dilly-dally.

Even if you don't get into V-Day (and you know I'm there with you) there's a lot to love about this collection! And in the immortal words of RuPaul, "if you can't love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love anybody else, can I get an amen up in here?"
