As if you didn't already know, beauty lovers!

As an Adelaidean, I have long suffered the indignity of major international brands lobbing up on the east coast (or the eastern suburbs, looking at you, Zara) with no accompanying online store to satisfy my needs.

About a year after opening in Sydney, Sephora opened its virtual doors on Monday 2 November with a mixed reaction from punters who logged on immediately (well, eventually, as the server struggled to cope) and were vocally outraged at the lack of major brands like Tarte and Kat Von D. They may have even posted on Sephora's Facebook page. Not naming names.

However, the roll-out of brands was a staggered approach, allegedly to minimise server disruption so new items are arriving on the daily (including, one punter was glad to note, Tarte and Kat Von D; though not the full ranges just yet).

I have registered, obtaining my White Card and $10 welcome voucher. I'll wait for a bigger range to become available before committing to a my first order though, because free shipping at $55 and I want everything at once.

And a completely fantastical pick . . . even if I got them, I'd never use them for fear of spoiling their beauty . . .

I have to be honest and say it's still pretty agitating to click through to the US site accidentally and gag on their holiday gift sets and loads of trial sizes and free samples which has not translated through to Australia. 

Still, beggars can't be choosers and we are certainly still beggars in the beauty world.
